Harmony United Methodist Church in Morgantown traces its roots to Methodist meetings near the present site in 1791 and was officially organized in 1795. Its earliest sanctuary was shared by Methodists, Episcopalians, Presbyterians, and Quakers, and the name “Harmony” grew out of the unity, amity, and loyalty of those early congregations. Today, the church offers children’s ministry, youth group, and small groups, including LIFE Groups, which stands for Living In Faith Everyday. Other programs include Walk to Emmaus, Chrysalis, Vacation Bible School, Kidspace Sunday School, and Youth Alive.
