About St Bernard Catholic Church
St. Bernard Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic parish located in New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania, in Perry County, about 40 minutes north of Harrisburg. Founded in 1947 as a mission church, the parish has grown from approximately 153 members to over 1,100 members and now operates from a 20-acre property outside town where a new church was built and dedicated in 2003. The parish is part of the Diocese of Harrisburg and embraces a Eucharistic tradition centered on the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the faithful reception of Holy Communion. Led by Reverend Robert F. Sharman and Deacon Gerald Robinson, St. Bernard's welcomes all to participate in worship, whether in person or through online recordings posted to their parish Facebook page and YouTube channel. The community emphasizes prayer, evangelization, teaching, and loving service to neighbors as part of their mission to build the Body of Christ.
