About Whosoever Gospel Mission

The Whosoever Gospel Mission is a Christian nonprofit organization serving the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area since 1892. Founded by William Raws, a recovered alcoholic dedicated to helping "the least, the last, and the lost," the Mission provides shelter, food, clothing, education, counseling, and rehabilitation services to homeless and needy men through its long-term New Life Program. Operating from a facility rebuilt after a devastating 2006 fire, the Mission proclaims the Gospel in both word and deed to those experiencing homelessness and hardship. The organization is supported by donor contributions, grants, and thrift store operations, with 88 percent of expenses directed toward program services. The Mission operates under interdenominational leadership and plans to expand services to include Hannah's Place, a residential program for homeless women with young children.
