About Parkside United Chruch Of Christ
Parkside United Church of Christ, founded in 1900 by Hungarian and Slovak-speaking immigrants, has grown into a welcoming congregation deeply rooted in the Phoenixville community. Originally known as the Hungarian Reformed Church, the congregation shifted to English-language worship and changed its name in 1980, becoming known for its caring hospitality and strong ethnic food traditions. The church actively engages in Christian education and fellowship for all ages, with worship at the heart of congregational life. Services feature engaging music, prayers, sermons, and sacraments, with a special emphasis on including children in the worshiping community. Holy Communion is celebrated monthly on the first Sunday and during major festivals, open to all who look to Jesus Christ for nourishment through Word and Sacrament.
