About Calvery Chapel Of Russell
Calvary Chapel of Russell is a non-denominational church located in Pine Grove Mills, Pennsylvania, roughly halfway between Warren, PA and Jamestown, NY. The church traces its roots to 1978 when Pastor Jeff York, trained under Chuck Smith of the influential Calvary Chapel movement in California, began a Bible study that grew into what is now known as Calvary Chapel of Russell. Worship is contemporary in style, blending modern worship songs with classic hymns performed by a small worship team featuring vocals, piano, guitar, bass, and cajon. The church is known for verse-by-verse expository preaching, with messages typically lasting 50 to 60 minutes, and the congregation gathers for its main Sunday service at 9:30 a.m., which runs approximately an hour and a half. The church welcomes families with children, offering a staffed nursery and concurrent Children's Church during the main teaching time.
