About Bethany Evangelical Lutheran
Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church is a Christian community in Pittsburgh's South Hills area called by God through Jesus Christ to minister to neighbors locally and worldwide. As a member of Pittsburgh Lutheran United Ministries (PLUM), a cooperative ministry of ten ELCA congregations, the church is part of a renewed movement among Pittsburgh Lutherans to live out the Gospel's Great Commission with intentionality and purpose. The congregation gathers for worship, education, fellowship, and service, welcoming visitors to experience God's spirit and the abundant gift of love that characterizes their community. Bethany is faithful to God's word through baptism and seeks to move beyond traditional church boundaries to engage in transformative Gospel ministry.
