About St Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church
St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church in Pottstown is a Ukrainian Catholic parish served by Rev. Ihor Royik. Its history is tied to the Ukrainian immigrants who came to the Pottstown region at the beginning of the twentieth century and worked to preserve their Catholic faith and traditions. The first Holy Mass in the newly built church was celebrated on April 11, 1937, and the church received its pontifical blessing on July 5, 1937, by Most Rev. Constantine Bohachevsky. The parish continues to gather for Sunday liturgy in the Ukrainian Catholic tradition.
