About Myrtle Gospel Tabernacle
Myrtle Gospel Tabernacle is a traditional Pentecostal church in Shinglehouse affiliated with Elim Fellowship. Founded in 1932 at its present location, the church describes itself as the oldest Pentecostal church in the area and traces its beginning to farmland donated to C.O. Dickinson. Its current building was completed and dedicated in 1977, and the sanctuary was enlarged in 1980 to seat 325 people and include offices and classrooms for a Christian school. Weekly gatherings include Sunday School, a Sunday church service, Sunday evening praise and prayer, Monday Healing Place, and Wednesday praise, prayer, and Bible study. The church also offers children’s ministry.
