About St Gertrude's Rectory
St. Gertrude Church overlooks the Kiskiminetas River in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, serving a parish family of over 600 households in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Greensburg. With roots extending back more than 100 years, the parish moved from Apollo to Vandergrift in 1898, and its current building was blessed in 1911. The community continues to be served by priests from Saint Vincent Archabbey and maintains a commitment to strengthening faith through word, worship, and service. St. Gertrude offers religious education for school-age children, sacramental preparation, and participatory liturgical ministries for parishioners of all ages. Visitors are warmly invited to join this active faith community that seeks to welcome all into its tradition of family, faith, and fellowship.
