About Valley Friends Meeting
Valley Friends Meeting is a Quaker congregation located in Wayne, Pennsylvania, welcoming all who seek to experience worship in the traditional Quaker manner. The Meeting gathers for silent worship in a plain, unadorned room where participants center their thoughts and wait expectantly to enter into direct personal communion with God as a gathered group. Worship may be entirely silent, or members and visitors may be moved to share spiritual insights and gifts with one another. Following the Meeting for Worship, which concludes with a handshake between two people on the facing bench, there is an opportunity for visitors to introduce themselves and for the community to share announcements. Valley Friends Meeting is affiliated with Friends General Conference and is part of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting's Haverford Quarterly Meeting.
