About The Newman Center
The Newman Center at West Chester University is a Catholic ministry serving the campus community for over fifty years. Located conveniently between North and South Campus, the center offers daily and Sunday Mass, perpetual adoration in Our Lady's Chapel, sacramental confession, and vibrant faith-building activities. The community gathers weekly for Bible studies, Thursday dinners with discussion, and other spiritual formation opportunities. As a welcoming Catholic center, Newman provides both liturgical worship and pastoral care for students and visitors seeking to deepen their faith and build meaningful connections within the campus Catholic community.
First-Time Visitor Info for The Newman Center
Dress Code: Not specified — please contact the church directly. Service Format: Daily Mass is offered at various times throughout the week (Monday through Friday), with Sunday Mass at 5 PM (with music) and 8 PM (Low Mass). Visitor Tips: The Newman Center is open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.; confession is available Wednesday 8–9 p.m., and Thursday dinners with discussion begin at 7 p.m. in the downstairs lounge.
