About United Churches-Lycoming
United Churches of Lycoming County (UCLC) is a network of over 125 member congregations representing Protestant, Anglican, Roman Catholic, and Orthodox faith traditions, begun in 1946 and rooted in Williamsport. The organization embodies a commitment to faith in action, serving the broader Lycoming County community through numerous ministries including the Shepherd of the Streets Ministry, food pantry services, campus ministry, nursing home and prison visitations, and interfaith dialogue. UCLC welcomes people and congregations from diverse faith journeys and believes in responding to community needs with tangible expressions of care—feeding the hungry, welcoming strangers, clothing the naked, and visiting the sick and imprisoned. Thousands are touched each year by God's love and grace through the organization's coordinated efforts.
