About Advent Lutheran Church
Advent Lutheran Church in York, Pennsylvania has been a cornerstone of the Old East York community since 1926, celebrating over a century of faithful ministry. As a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America's Lower Susquehanna Synod, Advent serves as a diverse community of believers united in Christ, dedicated to sharing the Gospel and serving others both locally and globally. The church is actively involved in community outreach through food pantry programs, participation in "God's Work, Our Hands," and international mission work supporting the Ipinda School in Tanzania. Led by Senior Pastor Brad Dayett and Associate Pastor Andrew Berdahl, the congregation offers traditional worship services, youth and children's ministries, confirmation programs, and various fellowship opportunities. Visitors are warmly invited to experience Advent's welcoming atmosphere and to connect with the church's spiritual leadership and active lay community.
