About St Eugene's Church
Saint Eugene Parish is a Roman Catholic community of faith in Chepachet, Rhode Island. Established on September 11, 1956, the parish has been part of local Catholic life for decades. Its first pastor was Father Joseph F. McCabe, who served from 1956 to 1964, and the current pastor is Reverend Stephen J. Dandeneau. The church building is a modern Georgian-Colonial design built of red brick and wood. The parish also has a rectory dating to the 1840s, once the private home of Walter Reed, a Rhode Island United States Senator. Sunday worship is held at 9:00 AM, and children’s ministry is among the parish programs.
