About Our Lady of Mercy Chapel
Our Lady of Mercy Chapel, located on the campus of Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island, serves the Catholic faith community with regular celebrations of the Eucharist that welcome both the campus and greater Newport communities. Consecrated in 2010, this architecturally distinguished chapel features leaded glass windows by renowned artist John La Farge and is designed by award-winning architect Robert A.M. Stern. The chapel is part of a larger spiritual center that reflects the Sisters of Mercy's charism of hospitality and service, offering not only sacramental worship but also ecumenical prayer services and a welcoming interfaith prayer space. Visitors are always welcome to participate in Mass or to experience the chapel's peaceful environment for personal contemplation and prayer.
