About Saint Peter's Lutheran Church
Saint Peter's Lutheran Church is the only Lutheran congregation serving Newport and Newport County, Rhode Island. Located on Broadway in the heart of the city, the church describes itself as an inclusive, welcoming, and service-oriented community dedicated to offering help and hospitality according to God's will. The congregation proclaims itself Open and Affirming, covenanting to provide a loving, safe, and welcoming place for all of God's children regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other status. Beyond Sunday worship, Saint Peter's actively serves the community through a food pantry, support groups, youth confirmation programs for military families, and various fellowship events throughout the year.
