About St Joseph's Church
St. Joseph Parish has served the Catholic communities of Scituate and surrounding villages in Rhode Island since its founding in 1939. Originally established to provide the Sacraments and teachings of the Church to a small group of believers, the parish has grown to encompass approximately 1,300 families across the villages of Chopmist Hill, Clayville, Hope, Potterville, and North Scituate, as well as parts of western Johnston. The parish is actively involved in religious education for young people and maintains a commitment to outreach and service to those in need. St. Joseph Parish welcomes visitors to join their vibrant community of faith.
