About Haven Of Rest Women's Ministry
Haven of Rest Women's Ministry is a Christ-centered, non-profit discipleship program located in Anderson, South Carolina, dedicated to helping men and women overcome life-dominating problems such as homelessness and addiction. Founded in October 1960 by Christian businessmen concerned about homelessness in their community, the ministry has grown from a small facility with six donated bunk beds to accommodate an average of ninety residents. The organization operates on a biblical foundation, providing thousands of hours of Bible teaching alongside practical support including meals, shelter, and counseling. Their approach focuses on three core elements: rescuing individuals in crisis, restoring them through spiritual transformation, and releasing them back into society with hope and connection to a Christian church. All programs and services are offered free of charge to those in need.
