About Flat Rock Baptist Church
Flat Rock Baptist Church, located in Piedmont, South Carolina, has served its community since 1862, when its congregation first gathered on a large flat rock in a brush arbor. Under the leadership of Reverend Christopher Franklin Scott, called as pastor in 2010, the church has revitalized its ministries with a focus on building relationships and communities on a rock foundation. The church offers multiple worship services throughout the week, including Sunday morning worship at 8am and 10am, as well as Wednesday services at noon and 6:30pm, alongside dynamic youth ministries, fitness classes, and Christian education programs including the accredited Rock University. Visitors are welcomed into a congregation committed to evangelizing, equipping, and empowering the saints through sound biblical teaching and discipleship training. The church emphasizes connection through tribal groups—small fellowship groups organized by birth month—and various volunteer opportunities that help newcomers become integrated into the church family and deepen their relationship with Christ.
