About Greer Baptist Camp Meeting
Greer Baptist Camp Meeting is a historic independent Baptist outdoor camp meeting established in 1947, making it the oldest of its kind in its tradition. Located at 1360 Henderson Gap Road in Greer, South Carolina, the ministry holds its annual gathering during the last week of June and first week of July, featuring Holy Spirit-filled preaching in an open-air tabernacle setting. The camp is known for old-fashioned preaching and singing that points attendees to Jesus Christ, attracting visitors from different states who value a time-tested ministry grounded in fundamental Bible teaching. The Fourth of July celebration is the flagship event, beginning with an early 5:00 p.m. service followed by a special BBQ meal and fireworks. Beyond the evening messages, the camp provides meaningful fellowship opportunities as visitors reconnect with longtime friends and meet others of like faith, with refreshments and dining available throughout the gathering.
