About Unity Baptist Church
Union Baptist Church is the oldest African American Baptist church in Cincinnati, Ohio, founded in 1831 by fourteen dedicated Christians seeking to worship in freedom and dignity. The church began with services in a house on Third Street and has since grown into a vibrant congregation with a rich history of missionary work, community service, and spiritual development. Union has planted numerous sister churches throughout Ohio and beyond, and has continuously served its community through Bible education, social services, and outreach ministries. The church offers multiple worship experiences throughout the week, including Sunday services in various formats, Bible studies, prayer calls, and radio broadcasts, demonstrating a commitment to meeting people where they are spiritually.
