Tyger River Presbyterian Church is a welcoming and inclusive community of faith located in Moore, South Carolina, committed to connecting upward with God, serving outward to meet the world's needs, and supporting one another inward. Founded in 1997 by Dr. Doug Cushing with a vision to reach the growing population of Spartanburg's west side, the church has grown from its humble beginnings at the YMCA to a established congregation that now houses two nonprofit ministries: the Carpenter's Table Community Outreach Center, which provides hunger relief to hundreds of households monthly, and Tyger River Children's Center, offering faith-based afterschool and summer programs. Under the pastoral leadership of Rev. John Daniel DeBevoise, who began in August 2025, the church emphasizes positive and relevant worship for all ages, with a particular commitment to nurturing families, cherishing children, and welcoming singles. The church values forgiveness as central to healing relationships with God, self, and others, and invites all people to experience the same hospitality and love with which God receives everyone.
