About Child Evangelism Fellowship
Child Evangelism Fellowship in Roebuck is a Bible-centered organization dedicated to evangelizing children and establishing them in Christian faith. Founded over 80 years ago by Jesse Overholtzer, CEF operates two primary ministries: Good News Clubs held after school in public elementary schools, and 5-Day Clubs conducted during summer in community spaces such as daycares, recreation centers, and parks. These programs combine Bible study, song, memorization, and missionary storytelling to present the Gospel message in ways children can understand and respond to. The organization trains youth volunteers, ages 15-21, to lead these summer initiatives throughout the community.
