About Spoken Word Outreach Ministries
Spoken Word Outreach Ministries is a non-denominational Bible church and training center located in Lobeco, South Carolina, near Beaufort and the surrounding Lowcountry region. Founded in 1981 by Ron and Linda Hunter, the church has maintained a consistent vision of preaching and teaching God's Word while allowing the Holy Spirit freedom to move in worship and ministry. The church welcomes people of all races, nationalities, denominations, and walks of life, and emphasizes both biblical teaching and the power of God for healing and deliverance. Beyond Sunday services, Spoken Word operates as a training center for spiritual development, maintains a global mission outreach that has reached over one million souls, and provides ministries for children and youth from infancy through the teen years. The church community includes active departments in ushering, music, media, children's ministry, intercession, and outreach, with regular fellowship gatherings throughout the year to build church family relationships.
