About Christian Hope Baptist Church
Christian Hope Baptist Church is a traditional Baptist congregation in Ware Shoals, South Carolina. Organized in 1872 by Rev. June Kennedy, Deacon Earl Evans, and Deacon Buddy Smith, it is one of the original churches of the Association. The congregation is led by Rev. Shannon Gilliard and Elect Lady Xanthine Gilliard, who became its leaders in 2011. Its motto is “Christian Hope, A Place Where We PUSH JESUS.” The current church house is the congregation’s third physical building and stands adjacent to its second location on the same property.
