About United Church of Christ
United Church of Christ Vermillion is a welcoming faith community founded in 1870 in the congregational tradition, located in the heart of downtown Vermillion, South Dakota. The congregation embraces diverse backgrounds and ministries, emphasizing radical, inclusive hospitality and the belief that all are welcome regardless of where they are on life's journey. Drawing from the teachings of Jesus Christ, the church values compassion, lifelong learning, and creative service to both community and world. Members practice their faith through worship, prayer in a variety of forms, and engagement in the arts and music. Currently in a pastoral search, the church invites visitors to experience their Sunday morning gatherings and to connect with their active church family.
