About Cornerstone Baptist Church
Cornerstone Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental Baptist church in Carthage, Tennessee. Started in 1991, the church first met in a tent and organized as a church in October of that year. Cornerstone describes itself as mission-minded and continues to support world missions, including adding missionary support over time. Its teaching is centered on the King James Bible as the preserved word of God and final authority. Worship is traditional, with the church intentionally resisting contemporary music and mega-church philosophy. Regular gatherings include Sunday School, morning and evening worship, and a Wednesday Bible study.
