Church of the First Born is a non-denominational congregation founded in 1985 by Pastor Alfred Johnson and his wife Dorothy Johnson, serving the Chattanooga community for nearly 40 years. With a current membership of 250, the church emphasizes its mission to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serve those facing hardship, including people dealing with addictions, homelessness, and youth in need of guidance. The church operates multiple ministries including Sunday school, youth programs, music ministry, and various support services designed to impact the whole person spiritually and practically. Known as a family-oriented congregation, Church of the First Born welcomes visitors to experience their biblically-sound, Jesus-centered worship and become active participants in their vibrant community.
