About Cumberland Youth Foundation
First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga is a welcoming faith community rooted in the Cumberland Presbyterian tradition, which traces its origins back to the Great Revival of 1800. The congregation, established in Chattanooga in 1841, now meets at their North Moore Road campus developed over decades, with their current sanctuary dedicated in 1963. The church emphasizes experiencing Jesus' love through worship, teaching, and service to the whole person—heart, body, and mind. They are particularly known for their strong music program, featuring a beautiful pipe organ and chancel choir, as well as ministries centered around their Olympic-sized swimming pool. Cumberland Presbyterians have a historic legacy of progressive faith, being among the first to welcome women into leadership and educational roles. Visitors will find a family-oriented congregation committed to the principle that "whosoever will may come."
