About Project Canterbury

Project Canterbury is a college and young adult ministry in Chattanooga jointly sponsored by the Diocese of East Tennessee of the Episcopal Church and the Southeastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The community engages in the practices of the Early Christian Church with a focus on building a nuanced, empathetic faith in Jesus Christ. They emphasize radical inclusion, affirming the dignity of every human being as an image-bearing child of God. Project Canterbury offers weekly spiritual practices including Morning Prayer on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at Christ Church Episcopal, and regular Sunday evening gatherings during fall and spring semesters featuring dinner, teaching, and Compline prayer. The ministry welcomes all college students and young adults seeking a deeper connection with Jesus Christ in a community that values both liturgical tradition and contemporary understanding.
