About Washington Avenue Baptist Church
Washington Avenue Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tennessee welcomes visitors to experience authentic encounters with Christ within a community that emphasizes discipleship and spiritual growth. The church operates two distinct worship styles on Sunday mornings—a traditional service featuring hymn singing with hymnals at 8:00 AM and a modern service with contemporary music projected on screens at 10:30 AM—allowing guests to choose the experience that best suits their preference. Beyond Sunday worship, The Avenue offers midweek programming for families, including Avenue Kids activities and adult classes designed to support spiritual development throughout the week. The church prioritizes creating a welcoming environment where visitors are invited to come as they are, with particular attention given to children's safety and engagement through dedicated kids ministry. As a Baptist congregation committed to making disciples, Washington Avenue Baptist Church invites new visitors to fill out a connection form prior to their visit to ensure a special welcome upon arrival.
