About First Baptist Church
First Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Tennessee has been serving the community since 1885, when 22 people gathered in a local general store owner's home to establish what was then called Greenbrier Baptist Church. Today, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Nathan Washburn and Music Minister Art Anderson, the church continues its nearly 135-year mission to encourage people to pursue a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. Located about 30 miles north of Nashville, Greenbrier First Baptist is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and actively engages in missions and community ministries. The church welcomes both longtime members and newcomers, emphasizing that it exists to help all people experience transformation and growth through a genuine connection with Christ.
