About Southwestern Baptist Church
Southwestern Baptist Church has served the Johnson City community since 1968, when it was established as a mission of Central Baptist Church. Located at 1112 Cherokee Road, the church has grown to over 350 resident members and is affiliated with the Holston Baptist Association, Tennessee Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Association. The congregation prioritizes loving God, loving others, and serving their community through active involvement in local and state ministries and missions. In 1991, the church expanded with an educational unit to support ministries for preschoolers through adults. Southwestern Baptist welcomes visitors seeking a church family atmosphere and invites newcomers to experience their Sunday worship service.
