About Marietta Cumberland
Marietta Cumberland Presbyterian Church is a historic Knoxville congregation organized on March 11, 1838, and reconstituted in 1873 under the leadership of Rev. Samuel West. The church is part of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church within the Reformed and Presbyterian family of churches. Its stated mission is to worship God with joy, celebrate God’s love through faith, study, and fellowship, and spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. Rev. Randall Mayfield has served the congregation since 2001, following the long pastorate of Rev. Don Hubbard from 1965 to 2001. A new church office was completed on the church grounds in January 2020.
