About Sharon Baptist Church
Sharon Baptist Church, established in 1871 in North Knoxville's Powell/Halls communities, has served the Sharon community for over 140 years with a steadfast commitment to glorifying Jesus Christ and reaching neighbors with the gospel. As a Southern Baptist congregation, the church emphasizes authentic discipleship through Bible studies, prayer, and service opportunities via its Sharon University program. The church offers comprehensive ministries for all ages, including Sunday School, worship services, AWANA programs for children, and dedicated student ministry events. With recently added facilities including a Ministry Center completed in 2004, Sharon Baptist continues to grow and adapt to serve the expanding North Knoxville community while maintaining its historical mission of impacting families for God's kingdom.

Dress Code: Dress comfortably and be yourself; you will find people dressed in everything from shorts and t-shirts to suits and ties. Service Format: Sunday services include Sunday School at 9:30am and Worship at 10:45am, with additional Adult Bible Studies and youth services at 5:00pm; Wednesday evening Bible studies and student ministry are also available. Visitor Tips: Greeters are stationed at doors each Sunday morning to help visitors navigate the campus, and reserved guest parking spaces are available in the upper lot near the Sanctuary.
