About The Volunteer Ministry Center
The Volunteer Ministry Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 1987 by downtown Knoxville churches to serve individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Operating from its location on North Broadway, VMC provides a comprehensive continuum of services including permanent supportive housing at Minvilla Manor and Caswell Manor, rapid rehousing programs, street outreach, a resource center offering transitional day services, and dental clinic care. Rooted in ecumenical Christian values of compassion, accountability, and results, VMC meets neighbors where they are and works cooperatively toward housing security and self-sufficiency.
