About Westside Unitarian Universalist Church
Westside Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville is a welcoming faith community that has been growing since its founding in a Farragut storefront in 1987. Led by Senior Minister Rev. Carol Bodeau since 2015, the church embraces a search for meaning and welcomes people of all genders, races, cultures, abilities, and sexual orientations. Services explore a rich variety of life's concerns with intelligence, inspiration, and wit, drawing from diverse religious and philosophical traditions rather than adhering to a single creed. The congregation lives out seven principles centered on dignity, justice, and compassion, while engaging in service to the broader community. Visitors are invited to arrive a few minutes early to explore and receive a warm welcome, and the church encourages prospective visitors to connect through their weekly newsletter and membership information.
