About Bethel Missionary Baptist Church
Bethel Missionary Baptist Church is a historic Baptist congregation in Lascassas with roots in the Walter Hill community. Officially organized around 1875, its first known pastor was Neal Crutcher, and the current pastor is Rev. T. Devan Franklin, III. The church’s early history includes meeting in a school and church on Richard Crawford’s property. Bethel later purchased the Bethel School building, which was used for Vacation Bible School. Its current edifice was completed and dedicated in October 2008. The congregation gathers for Sunday Worship Encounter and midweek Bible Study.
