About Community Bible Church
Community Bible Church is an independent, contemporary church in Memphis. The congregation describes itself as multi-ethnic and committed to embracing the city. CBC moved into the heart of Memphis in June 2006 and now meets in the former Speedway Terrace Baptist Church building, a property the church received as a gift. Pastor Jim Rowland is mentioned in connection with seeing that building as an answer to what God has called the church to do in Memphis. The church states its purpose as “to reach, to win, to train, to send.” Sunday includes Bible study and a worship service, with a Wednesday evening prayer meeting, youth group, and children’s church.
