About Encore Ministry
Encore Ministry is a Methodist organization based in Nashville, Tennessee, dedicated to intentional ministry by, with, and for older adults. The ministry empowers churches to honor senior adults and strengthen communities through a range of services and resources. Encore Ministry Foundation provides free consulting, training, and resources to church leaders, helping congregations develop or revitalize older adult ministries. The organization addresses critical needs including transportation, spiritual development, accessibility, affordable housing, healthcare, and food security. Encore Ministry also offers the Age-Friendly Congregation Certificate program, developed in partnership with the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, to help congregational leaders learn how to create age-friendly environments and intentional ministries for older adults of all ages.
