About Koinonia

Koinonia is a diverse covenant community in Nashville centered on Jesus and the connection He creates among all people. Located at 1803 County Hospital Road, the church gathers as a multi-generational family that welcomes people regardless of religious background, political beliefs, economic status, ethnicity, or culture. Led by Pastor Mika Edmondson and Dr. Christina Edmondson, Koinonia describes its Sunday worship as refreshingly liturgical, weaving together rich resources from past and present—songs, readings, prayers, and liturgies—while maintaining both order and spontaneity. Services guide worshipers through the Story of God and culminate in emphasis on the death and resurrection of Jesus. The church celebrates the Lord's Supper every Sunday except Easter and is actively involved in community work in the Bordeaux neighborhood.
