Victory Baptist Church in Roan Mountain, Tennessee was founded in March 1961 as a mission outreach and has grown into a lighthouse for Christ serving East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Under the long pastoral leadership of Dr. Jerry Honeycutt, who served for over five decades until stepping aside in February 2025, the church has developed extensive worldwide ministries including the Open Bible Hour radio broadcast, which reaches more than 30 national and international stations and has distributed over one million Bibles free of charge. The church is home to the Victory Bible Institute, which provides educational programs for pastors and Christian workers, and operates the Open Bible Book Room, a printing ministry, and a recording studio. Visitors will find a church deeply committed to evangelism, biblical education, and service to the global community.
