About Flat Top Independent Church
Flat Top Independent Church is a historic congregation in Soddy Daisy with roots in the early- to mid-1800s. For more than a century and a half, it has been part of the mountaintop community, whose name traces back to the original flat-topped log church house. A church and schoolhouse built in 1895 are still used by the congregation. The campus has continued to grow, including a building completed in 2003 and a larger sanctuary with updated technology added in 2023. Weekly gatherings include Sunday School, morning and evening worship, and a mid-week Wednesday service, with children’s ministry and youth group also offered.
