The Coalition for Appalachian Ministry operates from a modest log craft cabin and adjoining cottage near Townsend, Tennessee, just off Highway 321 in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. This unique ministry is shared by five Presbyterian and Reformed bodies working together to serve Appalachia with educational and service opportunities. CAM's mission focuses on making a positive impact where Reformed tradition and Appalachian culture intersect, standing with those pushed to the margins of society, assisting people in developing economic independence, and caring for creation. The organization networks with local churches and community groups to strengthen faith communities throughout the region.
