About Williston Methodist Church
Williston Methodist Church is a historic Methodist congregation in Williston, Tennessee, known as “the little chapel on the hill in the old town square.” Rev. Jay Wells serves as pastor. The church’s present land site was donated by Mr. Grant in 1836, the same year a log cabin sanctuary was built. That original sanctuary was destroyed by fire in 1911, with reconstruction beginning in 1912 and completed in 1915. The interior was remodeled in 1963-64 and repainted in 2004. The church gathers for Sunday morning worship and Sunday School or Bible Study.
