About The Sanctuary of Abilene
The Sanctuary of Abilene is a multi-cultural Apostolic Pentecostal church located on the north side of Abilene, Texas, near Ambler Bingo and close to Abilene Christian University, Hardin-Simmons University, and Dyess Air Force Base. The church describes itself as a Spirit-filled congregation that believes in the operation of the Holy Ghost, baptizes in Jesus' name, and emphasizes both inward and outward holiness. Known for welcoming college students, military personnel, and those from all walks of life, the church positions itself as a safe haven and family-oriented community where visitors are treated as family members rather than outsiders. Services are held on Sunday mornings at 10:30 am, Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm, and Tuesday evenings at 7:30 pm, with Sunday School for children ages 3–12 at 10:00 am. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by hosts and hostesses, asked to complete a visitor card, and offered a free gift at the welcome center.
