About Saint John Lutheran Church
Saint John Lutheran Church, founded in 1954, is a small congregation with a big heart located in Angleton, Texas, approximately 45 miles south of Houston. The church was organized by members from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Freeport and Christ Lutheran in Lake Jackson who gathered to form a Lutheran congregation in this rapidly growing community. As a parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Saint John is committed to proclaiming the Word of God and celebrating the Sacraments while living out its baptismal calling to make disciples of Jesus Christ. The congregation offers both in-person and recorded online worship services, along with various ministries including adult study groups, women's organizations through WELCA, and community engagement activities. Visitors are welcome to join the church family as they worship together in this welcoming faith community.
