About Christ Gospel Church
Christ Gospel Church in Beaumont, Texas is an interdenominational, fundamentalist Pentecostal congregation that traces its spiritual heritage to the teachings of founder Rev. Berniece R. Hicks, whose ministry spanned over 65 years and emphasized the Old Testament Tabernacle as a blueprint for Christian spiritual growth. The church believes in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues and practices expressive worship that may include clapping, dancing, weeping, and lifted hands as believers worship the Lord with their whole being. Christ Gospel maintains a worldwide network of affiliated churches and engages in extensive charitable outreach including orphanages, schools, and feeding programs in India, Mexico, Haiti, and Africa.
