The church has been serving the region for over 165 years and completed its current sanctuary in 1979, which the congregation is actively restoring. Services feature verse-by-verse biblical instruction combined with a blend of contemporary songs and classic hymns, reflecting the church's commitment to studying God's Word. The congregation is part of the North American Baptist Conference and actively supports local ministries including Burton Bridge Ministry, Brenham Pregnancy Center, and Adult and Teen Challenge, as well as international missions such as Chain of Love Orphanage in Brazil.
