St. Sarkis Armenian Apostolic Church, founded in 1991, serves the Armenian Christian community in Carrollton, Texas. Under the pastoral leadership of Father Ghevond Ajamian since 2011, the church has grown into a vibrant spiritual home centered on liturgical worship and community fellowship. The congregation gathers weekly for services and celebrates the major feasts of the Armenian Church, including the Nativity, Resurrection, and Transfiguration of Christ. Beyond worship, the church is deeply committed to cultural preservation, charitable outreach, and connecting the faithful to Armenian heritage through educational and missionary initiatives. The church building itself, designed by architect Stepan Terzyan and completed by David Hotson Architects, won the U.S. Building of the Year award in 2022, reflecting the congregation's pride in creating a sacred space that honors their rich traditions.
